Love the taste of marshmallows? If that’s a ‘yes siree!’, then you’re gonna love this Marshmallow Buttercream recipe.
It’s simply delicious.
Bowl lickin’ good.

Fluffy and light, this Marshmallow Buttercream pipes easily onto cupcakes and covers cakes like a dream.
And I’ve fallen even deeper in love photographing these cupcakes after a rainstorm and in stifling 95° heat (known properly as Texas sauna blessings.)
Even though the cupcakes were in the shade, it was a miracle when the buttercream held its peaks. Ahhh-maa-zing.
A real miracle.
‘Cause let me tell you…there’s nothing like surviving Texas in July.

Another thing that I love about this Marshmallow Buttercream: pop the leftover icing into the fridge and make truffles.
The truffles are to ‘swoon’ for.
Just make sure to hide the secret stash (in the fridge or freezer) ’cause it’s mind-boggling how easy it is for others to find. Label the container something disgusting, anything that refrains others from lid poppin’ and exploring.
‘Cause gross labeling is an extra delectable privacy sort of thing so you don’t freak out when the truffles come up mysteriously missing…
…and nothin’ is so disheartening as ‘disappearing truffles.’

Can you please send me the recipe from oz to grams at all if you don’t mind thank you
Here we don’t go by grams in America. We are slowly adjusting to the measurements. I am old school. A GlamMa. Hopefully, you will find grams for the recipe via Google Search. Thank you so much for posting.
Does this buttercream need to be refrigerated? It looks good!!
I always refrigerate my cakes in a corrugated (think Amazon) box. The box soaks up the moisture and keeps the buttercream stable & also protects the fondant/gumpaste designs. Thanks for the comment.
Have you used this marshmallow buttercream as a cake filling? Thanks!!
The Marshmallow Buttercream works well as a cake filling. You’ll love it.
Not sure what I did wrong. It was so soft that no way would it hold a shape when piped. I added almost double the sugar and it held shape but that made it very heavy, not fluffy at all.
Did you follow the recipe via the YouTube video? I’d love to help you succeed on the recipe since I’ve used it with ‘no fail’ forever. Keep in touch. Hugs to you.
Can you please tell me what is marshmallow fluff? Do you buy in pots? Do you make it? Lastly, if you do not make it where can you buy it from. I live on the Isle of Man and we do not have a Walmart unfortunately.
Marshmallow Crème can be substituted for the Fluff if you have it where you live. On the post, there is a link to how to make your own Marshmallow Fluff. I purchased my Marshmallow Fluff via Amazon. Hope this helps. Thanks for commenting.
Wow! These look super delicious! 😋 Thanks for whetting my appetite for something yummy.
Thanks. The recipe is delish.
Marshmellow buttercream is the best thing ever! I also love cream cheese buttercream!
This recipe is a ‘newbie.’ I’ve never had MB. Experimenting with baking was the outcome of this delicious recipe. And yes, Cream Cheese Buttercream is delicious. As for the cream cheese, buttercream, unless it is just an added flavoring, it isn’t Cottage Law approved here in Texas. Thanks for your comment.
Super cute. The images are really great. And I’m hungry for marshmallows! I pinned to recipes bloggers board. Love it.
Thanks so much Jenny. Have a great weekend.
